Amongst the severe thunderstorms on Thursday (3-31), a tornado touched down in Tyson's. Below is an image of the tornado's path.

The tornado lasted under a minute at EF-0 (EF0;65 to 85 mph; EF1 86 to 110 mph; EF2 111 to 135 mph; EF3 136 to 165 mph; EF4 166 to 200 mph; EF5 >200 mph) strength and brought minor damage to two gas stations. A video on social media showed a gas station canopy being uplifted and damaged beyond repair. It also showed loose items, such as water bottles and other items, moving in a rotation in front of the building. Debris also shattered multiple windows in front of the gas station. The tornado most likely dissipated in the Tyson's Corner Mall parking lot.
