Overview: Heat and humidity should drop behind the cold front tomorrow (Friday), leaving weekend highs in the 70s to around 80.
Quick forecast:
Friday: Mostly sunny, highs in the low to mid-90s, slight chance for a shower or storm, windy.
Friday night: Mostly clear, lows around the mid-60s.
Saturday: Sunny, highs in the mid to upper-70s, windy.
Detailed forecast:
Through tonight (Thursday): Muggy, with lows in the lower to mid-70s under mostly cloudy skies as winds come out of the southwest at 5-10 mph. We could see another round of storms or showers later tonight, but the severe threat has mainly moved to the south. Confidence: Medium-High.
Tomorrow (Friday): Skies will mainly clear out, though we could see a few afternoon clouds along with a possible isolated thunderstorm or shower. Humidity will gradually begin to decrease but still will be noticeable, especially in the morning. Winds will pick up from the west and gust as high as 30 mph at times, getting highs up into the low to mid-90s. Confidence: Medium-High.
Tomorrow night: Skies should become mostly clear as winds still gust as high as 20 mph from the northwest. Humidity levels will be low as overnight lows fall to around the mid-60s. Confidence: Medium-High.
Saturday: Winds from the northwest are still breezy, bringing us gusts as high as 30-35 mph. Other than that, it should be a picture-perfect summer day. Highs will reach the mid to upper-70s with low humidity under sunny skies. I can't complain. Confidence: High.
Saturday night: Northwestern winds still gust at around 20 mph, but lows should be dry and around the mid-50s under clear skies. Confidence: High.
Juneteenth/Father's Day (Sunday): Winds should be a little calmer than Saturday, but still will gust at around 25 mph from the northwest. Sunny skies again and low humidity as highs reach the mid-70s to around 80. Confidence: High.
Sunday night: Mostly clear skies with yet another dry night around the mid-50s. Northwestern winds should wane to around 5 mph. Confidence: High.
Next Week:
(Disclaimer: This portion of the forecast is far ahead from when I'm predicting it, so changes are likely to occur.)
One last nice day on Monday with sunny skies and highs in the upper-70s to the low-80s. Afterwards, heat and humidity will begin to build up for highs on Tuesday in the mid-80s to around 90 and highs on Wednesday around 90. Along with this heat will come chances for showers and storms, primarily on Wednesday. Confidence: Low.
