This post was edited exclusively for the forecast for tomorrow (Monday). Tuesday's forecast will come out tomorrow before 11:59 pm, as usual.
Quick forecast:
Monday: Partly sunny, highs in the low to mid-80s, breezy, mid-afternoon to evening storms, possibly severe. My rating: 4/10.
Monday night: Clearing skies, lows in the mid to upper-50s.
Detailed forecast:
Tonight (Sunday): Lows in the low to mid-60s with mostly cloudy skies and light winds from the south. Patchy fog is also likely. Confidence: High-Medium.
Tomorrow (Monday): Early patchy fog is likely to start off the day with a slight chance for a shower, followed by partly sunny skies. Highs will reach the low to mid-80s with winds picking up from the southwest later in the day gusting at around 25 mph. A powerful cold front is projected to move over us, likely bringing us a line or two of storms during the mid-afternoon and evening hours. These storms will have a possibility of being severe. Currently, we are under an "enhanced threat" (3/5) for severe storms (see the NWS's "Severe Weather Outlook" below). The main threats are currently damaging winds, hail, and possibly an isolated tornado. I will continue to monitor the threat and will be posting updates about Monday's forecast, if necessary, in the comments section. Confidence: Medium-Low.

Tomorrow night: After the storms leave the area, skies should clear and the humidity should drop with lows in the mid to upper-50s. Winds from the west will blow between 5-and-10 mph. Confidence: Medium.

Update (5-16, 3:10 pm): Due to the midday showers, there will only be one round of storms. These storms will be mainly hit or miss and are anticipated to arrive in the late afternoon to early evening. Damaging winds, hail, and even an isolated tornado remain possible with these storms. The National Weather Service will likely issue a severe thunder storm watch shortly.
Update from MCPS (5-16, 12:55 pm): "The national weather service is predicting possible severe weather for Montgomery County later today and likely occurring during school dismissal time. MCPS in times of severe or dangerous weather may need to initiate a Shelter-in-Place to ensure the safety of students and staff. If this were to happen and affect school dismissal or any other activities the district will communicate these updates through email, text message, the MCPS website, and the Alert Montgomery (Alert MCPS) system. We encourage our entire community to be aware today and to stay safe."
Update (5-16, 11:55 am): It is looking like the system will bring two rounds of storms. The first round is currently projected to arrive between 2-4 pm, with the second batch coming through an hour or two later. The second batch may give a higher chance for severe storms than the first. The second batch does appear to be more scattered than widespread fortunately. Keep you posted.
I checked the National Weather Source, and it said it will be severe storms at 1 PM. There is a exclamation point next to it stating that it will be strong. I don't know if it will happen, but just to let you know!
Update (5-16, 8:15): Storm threat is still valid, and we'll likely see a round of storms arriving between 2-5 pm.
