*A wind advisory will go into effect for our area between 2 pm today (Thursday) and 8 pm today.
A powerful cold front will move through the area later tonight. Ahead of this cold front, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms. Some of the later-day thunderstorms could be strong and possibly severe due to large amounts of instability, bringing damaging winds and possibly even an isolated tornado along with heavy downpours. A slight chance for hail is also included. Southern wind gusts could still reach up to 45 mph with mostly cloudy skies. All storms or showers should exit the area before midnight, with maybe a few light showers being the exception. Lows will be in the upper-40s to the low-50s.
