Tilden Middle School will host 4 major events for 8th graders and their families for only this school year. Here is the video by Mrs. LaGrange to describe all the major events.
The first event in celebrating Tilden’s 8th graders is the 8th grade Family Picnic which is new. This will happen from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. The reason we will have this is since the new Tilden gym is a lot smaller than our old Tilden so it can’t fit everyone. The WJ gym doesn’t work out either. So, the new tradition is a Family Picnic!
The next event will be the in-school award ceremony. This will start during the 2nd period on Monday, June 13th, and is only for students, and it will be live-streamed online to the Tilden community by Tilden News Network staff. Tilden teachers and TNN staff will set up the equipment, so all 8th graders will go to the Blacktop instead of Cafeteria on Monday morning.
Third, is the 8th-grade dance happening on Wednesday, June 15th from 6:00-7:30 pm. There’ll be a live DJ as well as Dinner, Dessert, and a Photo Booth. Finally, the last of the four events is the Virtual Promotion.
