Students' reaction to the music field trip to Hershey park

Tilden Middle School's music department's students and teachers went on a field trip to Hershey Park last Friday. Tilden's music class did not do regular field trips for the 2019-2020, and 2020-2021 school-years because of Covid-19.

Some Tilden students who went on this field trip told Tilden News Network exclusively, that it was "Terrible". The biggest reason why the overwhelming majority of students are upset about the trip is because of the 'storm and rain'. Students said their clothes got wet, and the rides temporarily closed. Students got "bad weather" refund tickets for another day. Many students paid 5 dollars for a 5-minute entry to a dry-off machine.

Tilden served lunch to all students for free. The choices were Tostitos + Salsa + Cheese or a Cocoa Cherry bar + Cheese stick or a Turkey and Cheese sandwich.

Apparently, the cheese did not fall out of the container whilst being upside down and squished under immense pressure as shown in the picture below.

A student said, "When it started storming in the park it was chaotic, everyone was running and trying to find shelter, everyone got soaked and rides closed for more than an hour."

For dinner, students said the food was way overpriced like any other theme park. Water at vending machines costed $4.25. A student tried to buy a soda from a vending machine and the bill had gone through but they did not receive anything when he asked a nearby staff member they just told him to call a customer service number.

For the music performance, many students tried their best, and Tilden won most of the awards against Julius West. Mr. Shaw said the trip wasn't that bad, but many students seem to disagree.
