Tilden Middle School's student government members (Tilden SGAs) are doing a magnificent role in school and local communities.
1. Green Team
Tilden SGA Green Team is recently really working hard to make Tilden a more environmentally friendly school such as displaying posters in the cafeteria, sharing information on the wolfpack time announcement slide, and participating in MCPS sustainability town hall.
2. ABC COUNTDOWN
Tilden SGA will celebrate the last 26 days of the school year. They will be having a “themed” day that goes with each letter of the alphabet. This event will start with A on Thursday, 5/12 & end with Z on the last day of school, 6/17. Ask your wolfpack teacher for more details.
3. Public Comments to communities
One of the members of the Tilden SGA Vice President, Anna Jhon, spoke at the MCPS's Board of Education meeting on Tuesday. She argued about 'lack of representation', "My classes and in the MCPS curriculum is a lack of discussion on events that are happening outside of the US. We are in the middle of a war that is happening across the globe yet isn't being talked about or taught about.". She also told TNN exclusively that this opportunity happened Tuesday around 11:50 at the Carver Center.
