In Belgorod, Russia, a city near Ukraine, a fuel depot was set on fire. The Russians blamed the Ukrainians, saying the attack came from a helicopter, specifically, two MI-24 Hinds. Video footage shows a missile creating the explosion. Ukraine has not confirmed or denied this. If Ukraine was responsible, this would have been the first time Ukraine sent the war to Russia, or the fighting happening inside Russia. No one was killed, the attack was reported to happen at 5:50 AM local time. It would have been pretty dangerous, as the helis were reported flying low, and at night, so they could have hit the ground or a structure.
8 fuel tanks were on fire, and almost 200 firefighters were on the scene. The depot is run by Rosneft, a state-owned oil firm. Three of the tank's flames were put out, but the fire could still spread. The attack may have repercussions for Ukraine, as it may affect peace talks.
