United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced Tuesday afternoon that it approve Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine booster for 5-11 years old children. The FDA recommended at least five months after the initial two-dose vaccine series.
All Tilden Middle School students can get booster shots for COVID-19 including 6th graders, and the majority of teachers at Tilden are eligible for the second booster (4th covid shots). MCPS is NOT requiring students/teachers to get vaccines, but MCPS is recommending it.
COVID cases are rising and rising. The United States hit 1 million death last Sunday, and some scientists and US officials said 'vaccination' could change that situation.
